The Group has recommenced its efforts to raise funds to demolish and build a new hall for the Group and also to be a community facility for the rest of the village. The estimated cost of the project is £300k and a number of grant applications are underway as follows:

Scout Group - from our own fundraising efforts over the last several years we have been able to raise £50k towards the hall project. Our fundraising efforts will continue and add to that figure.

Garfield Weston Foundation - application was made in June 2018 to their special centenary fund for £120k, unfortunately we were unsuccessful with this application. We plan to approach them again shortly, applying to their normal annual fund.

East Renfrewshire Renewable Energy Fund (aka Whitelees Windfarm) - application made in autumn 2018 and delighted to have been successful and awarded a grant of £26k!

Viridor Credits Environmental Company - an application was submitted in January 2019 for £50k, awaiting to hear the outcome.

LEADER - an application will be submitted in February 2019 for £120k, decision will be advised by the end of March 2019.
